Dr. Krasimir Mladenov was born on February 1, 1979, in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. He graduated in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of Sofia in 2003. Alongside his clinical education, he also trained as a dental technician — a dual qualification that continues to shape his unique approach by integrating both clinical and laboratory perspectives into his daily practice. Fluent in German, English, and Russian, he communicates with ease in international professional settings and with patients from diverse backgrounds.
In 2004, Dr. Mladenov founded ARTELAB Ltd., an independent dental practice dedicated to prosthetic dentistry and implantology. His passion for innovation and functional rehabilitation led him, in 2017, to establish ARTELAB – Digital Dental Laboratory, a center focused on implementing advanced digital workflows for the design and fabrication of restorations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mladenov has specialized in prosthetic dentistry, digital dentistry, occlusodontology, and the treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ/TMD) disorders. He is recognized for his expertise in functional diagnostics, working with articulators and facebows to achieve precise and predictable rehabilitation. His ability to combine clinical knowledge with technical laboratory precision allows him to design and deliver highly accurate prosthetic structures for his patients.
He has completed extensive postgraduate training in Bulgaria and abroad, including implantology and functional dentistry at DiNova Clinics under Dr. Kiril Dinov, microinvasive techniques with Dr. Ventsislav Stankov, and a five-level implantology and management course with Dr. Petar Duchev (Nobel Biocare). He further refined his skills in functional complex rehabilitation and orthodontics under Dr. Manol Ivchev, while also attending multiple international courses on implantology, functional dentistry, and digital strategies.
Dr. Mladenov’s clinical and research interests encompass complex oral rehabilitation, implantology solutions (including regenerative techniques), functional dentistry, TMD therapy, image diagnostics, and the application of CAD/CAM technologies. He has extensive experience with multiple implant systems, including TRATE, Medina Bio-Alpha Bio, and Osstem, and actively collaborates as a trainer for these systems.
An experienced lecturer and trainer, Dr. Mladenov regularly shares his expertise through courses and workshops for both clinicians and dental technicians. His educational activity, through ARTEDENT / ARTELAB – Dentistry and Dental Technology, emphasizes the integration of digital technologies with prosthetic and functional principles, preparing colleagues to manage complex rehabilitative cases. He is an active member and guest lecturer in several professional organizations, including the Bulgarian Guild of Dental Operators (BGDO), the Nobel Biocare Study Club, and the Digital Study Club.
